Candidate for Legislator: Kyle Williams
Tsawwassen First Nation has been my home my entire life. I was raised by my late father, Wally Williams, who was the TFN Chief in the ’80s, and my mother, Joanne Williams, a long-time TFN accountant. From them, I learned the importance of family, community, hard work, and giving back.
Some of my favourite childhood memories were made right here at home. I travelled with my dad to dirt bike races across B.C. and the U.S., spending countless hours practicing on the track that once stood on TFN
lands. He was always beside me — my biggest supporter — and taught me what it means to show up for the people you love. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life.
The water has been part of my life since I was 10, when I started fishing and crabbing. I’m proud to carry those traditions forward and pass them on to my three daughters and family. Along the way, I’ve earned BCIT diplomas as a Motorcycle Mechanic and Bridge Watchman and built my career as a longshoreman.
At the heart of everything I do is my family — my wife, my daughters, and our German Shepherd, Kobe. I’m running for the Tsawwassen Legislature because I want to give back to the community that has given so much to me.
