Hello friends & relatives,

I want to start by acknowledging how excited and honoured I am to be running for legislature this year. My hat goes off to all other members who are running and I wish them all the best of luck.

My name is Sophia, and while some of you may know me already, I’m sure many of you don’t. My grandmother was Edith Baird, my mother is Kim Baird and my sisters are Amy and Naomi Lachance. I myself am a 19 year old member, currently attending University. I’ve been working in the community through the summer youth employment program for the past few years. A lot of my experience in this program involved me learning about and partaking in land stewardship. I have a great passion for ecological sustainability and care deeply about the health of our salmon.

You can read more about my platform and experience in the handout linked below. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me through email: lachancesophiaj@gmail.com.
